The Piccolo Fondo – The Big Pink Pedal is expected to attract around 400 cyclists along greenways and quiet roads into Belfast for a family festival of food, drink, entertainment and the exciting centre-piece – a velodrome open to the public. On Saturday 20 June, the charity, Sustrans is organising 4 led bike rides for all the family, one of which will leave from Comber and head along Comber Greenway into the Titanic Quarter for the Northern Ireland Festival of Cycling

Sustrans Volunteer Co-ordinator, Rachael Ludlow-Williams who lives in Comber said: ‘’ The Piccolo Fondo is a great chance to join in for a relaxed bike ride into the city. You don’t have to be a lycra-clad racing cyclist but just enjoy being out on your bike. So come explore with us the National Cycle Network (NCN). Tell your family and friends, get into the pink and come along for the ride.”
