What We Do
Develop and implement ideas to assist in the commercial, residential and social regeneration of the Town.
Assist in progressing initiatives proposed by other stakeholders which will improve the social and environmental fabric of the Town.
Set up and manage Comber Farmers Market on the first Thursday of each month.
Monitor future development plans and seek to ensure that the Towns existing scale and character will be protected by encouraging a more controlled approach to development.
Access grant funding. Our status as a constituted “not for profit Company” allows us to access and apply for a wide range of funding opportunities. We have had early success in obtaining funding from the Big Lottery Fund, Awards for All, to set up the Farmers Market and other grants to help with the Company’s running costs.
Liaise with and meet other community groups, elected representatives and Government Officials. We are represented on Comber Town Steering Group for both the Public Realm Improvement Scheme and the new Comber Master Plan.
Recruit volunteers. We have a relatively small group of 16 Members. All are unpaid volunteers. We are always on lookout for new members and volunteers and cordially invite anyone interested to make contact with our Chairman Mike Moore (Contact Us)
